London: Mercado Andino

In a delightful and clever show of neighbourly love to showcase wares from both sides of the Andes, Argentina and Chile are teaming up at London’s Mercado Andino.

Held at Old Spitalfields Market, comes on the coat tails of The Beautiful South, when Chile, Argentina and South Africa teamed up. Mercado Andino, however, is a first for the South American nations, and 140+ wineries will be in tow.

Given that this is a trade show jointly organised by Wines of Argentina and Wines of Chile, big names such as Luigi Bosca, Familia Zuccardi and Casa Bianchi will be representing.

But it’s also refreshing to see the likes of Zorzal Wines, Riccitelli Wines and Achaval Ferrer putting in appearances. Expect to see around 60 Argentine bodegas, with the surplus made up by Chilean ones.
